Stately home re-visited

Pearl found herself fascinated by the lifestyle of the upper classes and asked Lady Anne to show her some more of her stately home. As this was not a day in which the public was admitted on tours, Lady Anne was happy to oblige. You will see me, the writer, standing on the right hand column waiting to throw peanuts (salted) on the heads of the tourists who like to goggle their way through the homes of the upper-class twits and wish they were like them.
