Pickle and Pearl

A very enjoyable, entertaining selection of the adventures of two onions! Our thanks go out to Walter, who has graciously volunteered to keep us up to date on these two. On this blog, the most recent post is at the top!

What do Tigers eat?

Pickle wanted to know what the 'guide' meant by a really big cat in the previous offering. I took him to the construction site on Hazeldean Rd. and told him to read the sign and made him aware of a GIANT TIGER. Pickle wanted to know if giant tigers were partial to Ascal-onions. and the 'guide' told him that according to what Tigger told Winnie-the -Pooh, Tiggers eat anything but haycorns and thistles but I think we can discount onions too. Pickle was satisfied when the 'guide' told him that this was not to be a 'real' tiger but was a very popular store which sold a variety of quality goods at a low price and would be built in the new plaza to replace the already existing 'Giant Tiger' on Stittsville Main Street. For readers across the country and abroad (I know of a few) the Giant Tiger stores were started in downtown Ottawa and spread throughout the region. If you don't have any in your neck of the woods, I'm sorry for you.
