Pickle and Pearl

A very enjoyable, entertaining selection of the adventures of two onions! Our thanks go out to Walter, who has graciously volunteered to keep us up to date on these two. On this blog, the most recent post is at the top!

Copper - Do you dig it?

I think Pickle and Pearl's visit to the Goulbourn Museum in our last issue must have sparked the Hysterical Society of Nottingham (of whom we have not heard for ages) to renewed interest in things past. They submitted this painting by John Opie who came from the copper mining village of St. Agnes, Cornwall, England. While the gentleman, Thomas Daniell, is showing some copper ore to Thomas Morecom, a miner in the Polperro mine in St. Agnes, Pickle was on hand to witness this strange encounter. Apparently Thomas D. is showing the miner, Thomas M. what to look for while digging in the mine. As if he didn't already know! Another example of Ascalonions previous visits to Earth.
THOUGHT FOR THE WEEK. Things are never so good they couldn't be better and never so bad they couldn't be worse!
