Walking - the best medicine
I told Pickle and Pearl of my walking activity on Monday afternoons and they were curious and wanted to come along. They cheered the members of the Stittsville Walkers as they took their laps in the Stittsville and District Community Centre hall. On this occasion there were twelve walkers and the coordinator David but as I (the 'guide') am not superstitious, thirteen didn't signify. Also, the Ottawa Public Health Nurse, Janice Tughan, has recruited walkers from around the district to 'walk' the Trans-Canada Trail, a distance of over 16,000 Kilometres, by logging their daily K.'s and reporting in at the end of each month until May. Incidentally, one should not pronounce K.'s as Kil-OMETRES, this is incorrect, it should be pronounced KIL-ometres as in millimetres, centimetres, decametres etc. Do you wanna argue?
