....helped by Pickle and Pearl who have tracked the old fellow down somewhere at the North Pole, and, boy!, is it ever cold. On their travels to discover the Christmas spirit (their 'guide' told them it was Scotch) they came across words such as 'Sing Dan Lao Ren', "Ganesha', "Svaty Miklas', 'Gwiazdor', Nikolai Chudorvorits', Jumtolten' and (to make it easy for you) 'Kris Kringle or Saint Nick'. Which is to say, Santa Claus in China, India, Czechoslovakia, Poland, Russia, Sweden and Austrilia, mite. There is no equivalent in the Ascalonian language. It may be that the rap-scallions may find leeks under their "lonely little Petunia" come Christmas morning. If you can't get the reference you can e-mail me with puzzlement and I will send you a copy of the words of the song.
