Downtown ('You can always go')

When it was explained to Pickle and Pearl that the place they had settled down in, had, unfortunately, been annexed by the juggernaut next door, Ottawa, they said they wanted to see some of it. Being the seat of Government and not having diplomatic relations with Ascalonia, (maybe some day!), the 'guide' decided to show P. & P. some of the less controversial sights and statues around the city. They were quite taken by the 'sculpture' down by the Rideau canal and insisted on having their pictures taken with their 'guide' for old times sake. If they ever take a copy back to their home planet one wonders what the Ascalonions would make of it? Meanwhile, there is always winter to look forward to, brrrr!
