My Friend Flicker.
Brrrr.... Pickle and Pearl do not appreciate temperatures that dip below the freezing point - much below! ('guide's' comment, "neither do I"). Never having needed, or found a use for fire on Ascalonia they were pleasantly surprised by the warm, flickering glow produced by a cozy fireplace. The 'guide's' late wife Anne fancied that the music played in the romantic dark causes the flames to flicker in time with the beat, this seems to be especially noticeable with the classics. (Guide :- "I think she was right") However. as the last stanza in the once popular song "Walkin' in a Winter Wonderland" has it :- 'Later on, we'll perspire, as we sit by the fire". But once again, I digress, what I am trying (very?) to say is, roast your chestnuts on an open fire not 'nutters'. (I hope that isn't too subtle!)
