Pickle and Pearl

A very enjoyable, entertaining selection of the adventures of two onions! Our thanks go out to Walter, who has graciously volunteered to keep us up to date on these two. On this blog, the most recent post is at the top!

Tree-mendous!

Still in British Columbia and having read the information board stating that some of the Douglas firs in the Cathedral Grove in MacMillan Provincial Park were almost as old as Pickle and Pearl, some over 800 years old and towering more than 200 feet, it was only fitting that P. & P. should walk (fly?) the trail and see for themselves. Although there are conservationists, nature lovers and phsillyosophers who advocate 'hugging a tree' it would take someone with very long arms to hug one of these firs. Luckily, there are more huggable subjects closer to hand.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY - The Wicked Witch of the West had to be dry-cleaned!
