One in the eye for Brits
The Hysterical Society of Nottingham are 'on a roll'. Once again it (they?) have issued a historical finding that goes back to the days of the eleventh century and King William. The Society has discovered a little known section of the Bayeux Tapestry showing the presence of an ancestor of Pickle. The Tapestry (according to the H.S.N.) is to commemorate the arrival in Britain of William. It was well known that because the Ancient Britons walked a lot (and Came-a-lot), they had much foot trouble so the Brits were overjoyed to learn that a famous foot doctor from France was coming to sort out the problem. It turned out that William was more interested in heads than he was feet, so his sobriquet of "William the Corn-curer" was misunderstood.
THOUGHT FOR THE WEEK:- Columbus was lost at sea.
