How to get ahead!

Pickle and Pearl have reported in from Easter Island, somewhere in the middle of nowhere. The claim to fame of Easter Island is the collection of 887 known heads, torsos and kneeling figures about which some mystery surrounds but not much any more. Looking up Easter Island in Wikipedia reveals a wealth of information which I (the 'guide') did not know. Pickle and Pearl have, of course, continued their search for armed might by which they might judge the defences of Earth in case the Ascalonions decide to re-locate, but so far their search has proved fruitless unless you count the town of Kivic in Sweden (see 5 June 2008.) Where will they go next?
