Pickle and Pearl

A very enjoyable, entertaining selection of the adventures of two onions! Our thanks go out to Walter, who has graciously volunteered to keep us up to date on these two. On this blog, the most recent post is at the top!

Festival time.

Pickle and Pearl report that their stay in Barbados has been extended for another issue. They discovered that the island is more than cricket and dominoes and although they have found no weapons of mass destruction, they have found a two day festival which features flower shows, dancing and local artists. Called the Holetown festival, it is in commemoration of the island's first English settlement in February, 1627. The revellers in the picture are dressed for the occasion and walk with a very brightly decorated carriage.
LITTLE FLY upon the carriage/ I know that I should not disparage/ You, but really, you are a dirty pest/ I'll have to do what I think best.
