Pickle and Pearl

A very enjoyable, entertaining selection of the adventures of two onions! Our thanks go out to Walter, who has graciously volunteered to keep us up to date on these two. On this blog, the most recent post is at the top!

Horse Guards?

"Well, here we are, another new month and a new country, Paraguay, and we have found another example of a cavalry squadron", said Pickle. "It shows you how backward looking Earth men are, horses went out years ago". Are you sure", said Pearl, "not that they went out, but that these are cavalry. I think they are called 'gauchos' and from what I have read they are like Cowboys and herd cows". (Do you get the feeling that Pearl, being a Female is the sensible one?) "I don't care what you have herd and you read too much". Paraguay is interesting, gauchos take great pride in their skilled horsemanship and their sense of honour. Paraguay has two languages, Spanish with its 'Buenos Dias' and its Guarani with its (same meaning but it reads like Ascalonion) 'Mbaeishapa rei co'. So Pickle and Pearl could feel quite at home.
