Pickle and Pearl

A very enjoyable, entertaining selection of the adventures of two onions! Our thanks go out to Walter, who has graciously volunteered to keep us up to date on these two. On this blog, the most recent post is at the top!

Anyone for cricket?

Pickle was requested by the 'guide' to visit Barbados on his travels. Not because he would find information about Earth's defences (there are none) but because it is one of the 'guides' most favourite places on Earth and he wanted Pickle and Pearl to see it. There is a more personal reason but unless pressed the 'guide' will not talk about it. Barbados grows sugar cane from which the "Bajans" make several famous rums. Yum. As in the other islands in the Caribbean or West Indies, cricket, imported from England (Barbadians (Bajans) speak English) is the national sport which is slightly less boring than baseball. In our next issue we will discuss the merits of another Barbados sport, dominoes!
