Pickle and Pearl

A very enjoyable, entertaining selection of the adventures of two onions! Our thanks go out to Walter, who has graciously volunteered to keep us up to date on these two. On this blog, the most recent post is at the top!

Watson's Mill.

In the previous issue I said I would give the correct address of the "French Cafe" (second 'e', acute). It is in the Village Square off Manotick Main Street in (of course) Manotick. I (the 'guide') fell in love with the cafe ('e' acute) the moment I walked in as I had with Paris (the city in Europe) in the dusk in the first ten minutes I was there. But once more - I digress. The real subject of this issue (as you can see from the picture) is Watson's Mill also in Manotick. There is much history about the mill, it is old, it has a ghost and it is still working. You can buy flour there, ground on the premises and souvenirs from the shop. When I suggested taking a pic. of the display, Pickle and Pearl (ever hams) wanted to be in the picture and so they are. I wonder when they are going home?
