Pickle and Pearl

A very enjoyable, entertaining selection of the adventures of two onions! Our thanks go out to Walter, who has graciously volunteered to keep us up to date on these two. On this blog, the most recent post is at the top!

Food for thought!

When I (the 'guide') told Pickle and Pearl that we should take a look at the organic farmer's market in Stittsville near the Ottawa Waldorf School Pickle remarked he did not particularly like organ music. It was pointed out to him that it was not organ-ic but organic, a way of growing and producing goods without using artificial stuff such as pesticides and growth hormones and other nasties. I hoped I was telling him correctly but I am sure the experts at the Organic Farmer's Market, Millie Johne (whom you can see in the July 9th issue on Canada Day) and Dick Coote, seen in the picture, and the other sellers, would do it better. There is a wonderful selection of goods on offer and the key words are "more flavour".
LITTLE FLY upon the frog/ Did you think it was a log?/ With the sun bright in his eye/ He'll take you for a little flench fly.
