Trainspotting too
Every now and then I (the 'guide') am faced with howling scepticism from Pickle. Should that word be pronounced with a 'skep' as in 'scotch' or 'sept' as in 'sceptre'? sometimes the 'c' is soft as in Glasgow Celtic. Whatever! Anyway, Pickle's scepticism was about the picture in the last issue, of the engine standing in the station. Was it real, he wanted to know, did it function he wanted to know. Does it move he wanted to know. My only answer (now there the 'w' is silent as in 'crawdad') was to show him my picture taken hanging out of the carriage window as the "Heartbeat" flyer took a bend while he, before I knew him, watched us go by. Plus, you have had an English lesson too!
