Straight talk on Robins.
Here is a picture of a Thrush". "Did you say a Thrush". "Yes, a Thrush". "Oh! I thought it was a Robin". "No, it's a Thrush". "Will you explain?". "Well, when the first settlers from Europe saw these large birds with the red breasts they assumed they were Robins, ignoring the fact that European Robins are only half the size and are delicate, graceful creatures. These large birds are in no way remotely related to Robins. They are a species of Thrush and their name is (and I am not making this up) Turdus Migratorious or North American Robin". "I see". "However, it is a sign of Spring for which I for one am thankful!"
LITTLE FLY upon the thrush/ I don't know if you ever blush/ But if bird has not fed today/ I think you'd better fly away.
