It is all very well roaming aimlessly around the Ancient World picking up bits of history and antiquities but the time comes when Pickle and Pearl must return to the 'real' modern world on their way back to Stittsville for the "Parade of Lights" on the 28th of November. Coming into the Twentieth Century, it doesn't seem so long ago, we have a picture of a modern telephone, albeit one where a turn of the handle was needed to call the exchange to connect with the number you wanted. It wouldn't fit into your pocket though.
