Snow shoes, anyone?

Seeing as how we are only into four days of the New Year, the last of the decade, I (the 'guide') thought it might be appropriate to exchange views with Pickle and Pearl of earthly customs regarding the holiday season. I will not give you a verbatim report on the conversation but after a few Scotches I can give you a Pickled version. Christmas and New Year are foreign to our visitors from Ascalonia, their world spins a lot slower than Earth which is why they don't fly off at the rate we do. The habit of making resolutions at the year's end is not known to them but this year they vowed to stay away from French Onion Soup, but then, they always did. I (the 'guide')'s only resolution is to not make any resolutions.
