How corn-y can you get.
It was question period in the house yesterday, Pickle wanted to know what a 'bunion' is. I (the 'guide') told him it was a painful growth on a big toe and it should not worry him as he doesn't have feet. "Why do you want to know?" Pickle-"I heard a song sung by Al Jolson called 'The Spaniard Who Blighted My Life', with the line, "I'll raise a bunion on the Ascalonion if I catch him bending tonight". Me - "You must have misheard, that's 'his Spanish onion' and it doesn't refer to you and if you can work out how anyone could raise a bunion on an onion then you are a better man than I am - G. D., any more questions?" This "idea" was given to me by my Brother-in-law George Robinson in Middlesbrough, North Yorkshire and very gratefully received, the 'Guide' would welcome ideas for future submissions, especially pertaining to Stittsville doings, don't be shy, e-mail rusticowl2@rogers.com. I may use them!
