Isn't History wonderful?

Pickle said to Pearl, "I have a tale to tell". The picture shows a section of the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel which Michelangelo painted as a commission from the Pope. When he was finished he went to the Pope and said "Come-a and see what I have-a created". The Pope said "What took-a you three years?" When he saw the ceiling he said, "When I said paint-a the ceiling, I meant-a blue!" They were both speaking in broken English so that you could understand. There were other famous artists in Italy also such as Leonardo da Vinci who painted the 'Mona Lisa' among others and the barber who became a famous singer, Perry da Como. Then there were "The Gondoliers" made famous by Gilbert and Sullivan. So much history! What an education you are getting!
