There's no place like Rome.
Pickle and Pearl's steps took them where 'all roads lead', Rome. The city in Italy founded by two Wolf Cubs, Regulo and Rebus. There are many ruins, among them the attractions of Basilicas, Arches, the Temple of Castoroil and Bollux, a structure of concrete faced with travertine and tofu as seen in the picture above of the Palazzo di Giustizia (Palace of Justice) and the many amputated theatres that abound. No trip to Rome would be complete without a visit to the Hippodrome (named after an attraction on display, a cross between a hippopotamous and a dromedary) to take in the latest variety show. Most popular at the moment is a comic trio of a country bumpkin, a walker and a pawnbroker. They are billed as Hick, Hike and Hock, and very funny they are too. Travellers, remember, 'Be it ever so crumble, there's no-o place like Rome'
